After high school Steve joined the reserves of the Canadian Army and was a member
of the King's own Regiment. After a couple of years he went to Bosnia for seven
months with PPCLI (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry). While there he
decided that the army life was for him and he decided to join up full time.
When back in Canada he went away to New Brunswick to take a Combat Engineers course.
